Thorntree Farm is a small friendly family run campsite in Uppertown a small hamlet in the award winning village of Ashover. Located in Derbyshire just on the edge of the Peak District. A great location if you’re looking for peace and quite. Tucked away from the local towns yet close enough if you’d like to visit. with Matlock,Bakewell and Chatworth a short 5 – 10 miles away.

There are many country walks straight from the farm. with lots of public footpaths. A two mile walk down country lanes will take you to Kelstedge where you’ll find a great country pub with a log fire serving lovely food and Real ales. You’ll also find a farm shop and cafe here too thats well worth a visit. A further 10 minute walk will take you into Ashover Village where you’ll find 3 more country pubs a cafe and a couple of village stores. If you wanted to go a little further there is a regular bus service which runs through Kelstedge which will take you into Matlock and Chesterfield.
